The frame is a triumph of blown glass : a twisted, rigadin -textured rope motif envelops the reflective oval, embellished with two large, relief- sculpted flowers (at the top and bottom) that shimmer with warm golden hues. The use of gold or amber dust within the glass gives the object a warm, precious glow.
