Description
An object that seems to emerge from history. This evocative Murano glass vase is crafted using the prized "scavo" technique, a complex process designed to mimic the rough, opaque texture of Roman artefacts eroded by time and earth.
Signed with acid by the renowned Rosis Murano glassworks, the vase stands out for its textured surface and pale, ethereal hue. Adding solemnity to the classical form are two imposing relief medallions depicting lion heads, a symbol of strength and nobility that adorn the sides of the piece.
A striking piece, capable of bringing the flavour of antiquity and the excellence of Venetian craftsmanship into a modern setting.
