The structure stands on a solid and imposing stepped circular brass base (gilt metal), which gives the object architectural stability and discreet luxury. However, the magnificent and wide sculptural diffuser in Murano blown glass dominates the scene. The mushroom-shaped cup is expertly crafted with a dynamic wavy spiral motif: the upper cap, in pure white opal glass, guarantees soft, diffused, and relaxing ambient lighting; the lower funnel section, in worked clear crystal, acts as a prism. As shown in the photos, once lit, it creates a spectacular and dramatic radial light effect on the support surface.
