The structure is dominated by a base and shaft entirely gilded and gleaming, supporting a deep ruby-red glass bowl. The visual effect is one of great opulence, evoking the pomp of eighteenth-century banquets.

What makes these pieces unique is the meticulous ornamental workmanship: a wide gold band wraps around the body of the glass, serving as a precious canvas for delicate polychrome floral decorations .
